Most of us have experienced anxiety at some stage in our lives and like most things it’s on a continuum. With anxiety, it can range from worrying and feeling overwhelmed, to feeling out of control and experiencing panic attacks. Understandably, this can scare people because it can feel like a heart attack or stroke. During a panic attack the body produces high levels of adrenaline and cortisol; it’s preparing the body for the fight or flight response.
People aren’t born with anxiety; you weren’t born anxious. The anxiety you are experiencing may be due to an event that has happened in your life or it might be a learnt behaviour that has developed over time.
It’s not something you have to live with either, in our initial consultation I can explain how you create the anxious thoughts and then in hypnosis we rewire those thought patterns from unhelpful to helpful.
I’ve seen some amazing changes in people where uncertainty and fear have created unnecessary obstacles in their lives; and with hypnotherapy those obstacles have dropped away.
