Hypnosis for Depression

Depression can feel like a mental prison and many people believe there isn’t a way forward, but there is. You don’t have to live with the relentless thoughts in your head, the sense of hopelessness or the many emotions that go with it.

When life feels like quicksand, it can be hard to find or see the joy in life. With work and commitment, hypnotherapy can be the rope that pulls you out, allowing you to walk freely again. Why? Our mind is malleable and as long as you’re open to change and willing to work with me, there is every chance hypnotherapy can help.

Many people believe depression is genetic, but families don’t just share genes.  They also share a similar environment, and growing up a child can develop learned behaviours.  There are not genes that make you depressed, some people are just more vulnerable to depression than others.

Some people have asked me about antidepressants and if they should be taking them or not.  That is a conversation the client needs to have with their GP.  If someone is taking medication, a combined therapy is generally recommended because medication can’t identify your vulnerabilities and help teach you strategies to help alleviate depression.

How would it feel to be in control, free from your mental prison and look forward to the future?
